Default Remote Oil Filter - connections

OK, call me paranoid, but, siezing my last engine, I really don't want to get this wrong.

I have my oil lines hooked up thus

The centre (so the but where the filter screws on standard where my adapter screws on) (from the 4AGE) goes to the center of the remote Oil filter (so effectively the flow goes to the middle of the Oil filter
The outer section from the remote Oil filter goes to the outer side of the adapter on the 4AGE.

    Just want a sanity check.
In the below pic the 1118 (on the right) is whats on my block and whats on the left is attached to the side of my engine bay

an oil filter works in the reverse to what i think you are saying , the shit/crud in the oil should be on the outer part of the filter then getting filtered thru the media/paper then out of the filter up thru the middle, bit hard to tell from the angle of the pic, so the outer edge of the block adapta is dirty oil from the engine flowing into the remote filter housing on the outer edge hole-being filtered by entering the centre of the filter and flowing up and out back to the centre of the block adapta if that makes sense, hope that helps,MICK
