Lets fire some details into a thread early for a change

Cruise to the event will depart from the BP northbound at Calder Park, leaving 7.30am sharp!

Meet there from 7.00am if you are going to be wanting fuel for your car, or coffee for yourself.

We will leave as a group at 7.30am SHARP! None of the bullshit faffing about that some normally do

Stick together as a group, and just after we turn off the freeway we should stop for a regroup and collect everyone to make it easier for entry as a group.

If we get separated tell the organising guys you are part of a group and head for the oval.

NE group pre-meet up point - BP Eltham 6am for a 6.30am departure. Cruise to BP Calder to meet rest of the group.

    sounds like a good plan
i will try and get in touch with the organisers to see if they can set aside a spot on the oval
maybe even pre pay and go in all together

I felt that the oval was ok, but initially some of us were in the Main park in a treed area nearish the oval & it had in my opinion a nicer feel about it, plus it felt cooler due to some of the tree cover .. Thats my 2 cents worth ..

hi rob the only problem there is access
    in and out
they try and get you to drive over some pretty rough stuff
not real good for low cars with spoilers

    I'll be there again.

My vote is also for a place closer to the tree'd area. Our spot on the oval was the furthest point from anywhere. Somewhere more central would be better IMO. It got to the point where i CBF going to look at some of the cars because they were half a kilometre away.

    +1 to this.

i liked the "around the fence" spot we had last Picnic, but just wish it were nearer to everything.
