Found some rear wheels that were advertised as 15X8's but the fella said that is 8" outer diameter so I think they are actually 15X7's. These are HQ wheels and look quite nice actually

So if it is 8" or 200mm outer diameter, he told me that back space was 95mm so offset is +5 right. Bit of dish.

So assuming this is actually a 7" wheel for calcs, how far extra will this stick out compared to my 15X6 at +38.

    Bloody hell this is confusing!

    Think of it this way

An x7 is 1" wider than an x6. So if the offset is the same (+38), it will stick out 12.5mm further out than your well.

Now, if the offset is +5, then it will put the whole wheel 33mm further out than yours (+38 - +5 = +33)

    So, x7 and +5 = 33+12.5 = ~46mm further out

Thanks. That makes sense. Now to do some measuring tonight.

But remember with the same size tyre on both rims it will only be 33mm further out unless your tyre is narrower than the rim (unlikely).

I'm guessing you have an old holden diff? (5x120.69 or 5x4.75")

Nope other way around. I have HQ stud pattern on the front as they are direct fit for xt130’s. I currently have a 6 stud rear. I am very indecisive!

Get rears redrilled for HQ pattern 5X4.75”
Get all 4 redrilled to 5X120 commo
    Get all 4 redrilled to 5X114.3 ford/jap

    Options

It will be the same width tyre but I imagine it would balloon a bit less on a 7” rim compared to a 6”.
