Government organization that employs duds is bound to have important matters such as the club permit scheme fail initially. Government orgs don't fire people regularly enough, they just shuffle them around into new roles that do not either suit their work type or capacity.

If they ran Vic Roads like a proper corporation, a lot of things will get done correctly.

Needless to say, 6 months of BS before they get their act together is a small price to pay for 45 days of totally free club permit driving

Do you have to meet emissions laws (eg: no hi mount T51R turbo with management/fuel system etc) under club permit laws?

Log books came. One missing called Fergus (the co ordinator) who even agreeed to renew the missing log/permit although it was out of date. Simply put you keep your permits in the log books with the letter from Vic roads until you get the renewals, then you automatically get 90 days UNLESS you request 45 days. stickers will be issued with renewals only. Qed, Vic road a really helpful guy.Slim line plates already orderd. no delay. But $32 each.

Fergus just sent me renwal for GT, apologised for delay.

    Saw the new application forms.
There are four or five lines for logging until you get your new log books.
This is for new permits only.

You use the log books they just sent out until permit expires then get new stickers with renewals.
    A obliging gent.

Hopefully only a few more months and the crown will be ready to roll.

Its 3/4 through paint, then its onto the suspension work to ensure its all good.

Cant wait to actually drive the thing!

I tried to ring VicRoads to check, but the lines are all jammed.
    Yes Brett
Drive away no more to pay.
Just fill in the log book if you go 100 metres.

Can someone PM me Fergus McDonald's number. I want to order the slimline plates and I'm away from home for the next week.
