Swapping gears from Celica T50 to AE86 T50

So, who has done it. Is it possible? Have an option on an AE86 T50 with a busted second, and a Celica T50 which is fine.

I have heard of it being done. It was quite a while ago, he did it to have the Celica shifter postition with the ae86 compatability.

Doubt it can be done without machining since parts numbers are different and
several internal differances between the two boxes.

trd gear kits I`ve seen advertised are specificly for ae86 t50 only
