Default GT4 got lumpy idle need wiring info please

    Ok so I'v recently brought a 1989 st185 gt4 headwork/gasket had just been done

ran out of fuel on the way home
    put 1/4 tank in
got it home fixed water leak
    did a full service
    added boost tap/gauge
    replaced all the clamps
    new dizzy
    new leads
    new temp sensor

Car starts but won't idle more the 500-600rpm lumpy as seems to be fine if I put my foot on the gas to increase the revs but blows black smoke

Checked the plugs and there wet with fuel

    any ideas?

so the airflow meter plug was fubared

can anyone please check there afm plug and tell me the colour of the wires from right to left.
Pics would be even better thanks

possibly an air leak between AFM and turbo?

and where/how did you tap in to connect the boost gauge?

The EFI section of the Service Manual/Repair Manual has diagnosis section to walk thru some problems. MWP has kindly collected and hosted them here:

The temp sensor was that for the Temp gauge or the EFI sensor, if it was the for the ECU try changing the sensor back & see how it is then ..

I pressume you have re-done the timing since changing over the dizzy too ..

It was a new dizzy cap so timing should be sweet but will check that when I get my timing light back.

It could be a leak from the piping in between the turbo and afm (pipes abit dodgy) so I'll look at that when I get home.

it does the same thing with the afm pluged in as it does when its unplugged so it may be the plug

intercooler is tight (brand new silicon hose and hose clamps)

I'll post a pic of where I plumbed in the gauge when I get home but I've tryed it with the gauge off and still no difference.

I need to either get a new dump pipe or a new bolt and gasket as the guy I brought it off broke one of the dump pipe bolts (down by the cat) so its now leaking but I don't think this is the issue.
