Yes Toymods members get the same prices as any reseller that Performance Springs sells to. I was outright shocked at how cheap the springs for my 3S were.

    That would be awesome dude.

Can you measure seat pressure too?

My gut feel is that about double stock may do the trick.

    another vote for performance springs
i didn't like the offerings for the K motors, so they helped me match up FJ20 springs? to fit...
even without the discount (this was a while ago) i thought they were cheap

    good work lads,

seems a feasable option to me that it would be te springs.

its interesting at 30 psi we havent found this happening on my engine yet, ive been waiting for it to happen.

have you had a chance to talk to mike about our boxes?

I'd be guessing the 1/2JZ turbo motors would run much tougher valve springs factory than the Landcruiser - they're intended to have boost and much higher revs, and I daresay the standard cams, while still small, are a little larger than the truck motor. Hopefully(!) the 2JZ springs will drop right in and solve your issue, otherwise maybe you'll have to go looking towards the crazy Arabs who turbocharge their Landcruisers...

    Shane
I have spoken to him about it, but my impression is that he himself doesn't fully understand what's happening.

What I need to do next is speak to a dyno operator(s) with experience in dynoing big HP auto cars to get a few more answers so I can build a picture of what's happening. (maybe the RX-Eng guys?)

How about we chat in person in (less than) 2 weeks at WSID.

Did you have any success checking out places where I can stay near there?

We'll be getting in at about 11am Saturday morning.

    Seeyou soon mate

    Dude,

The Blacktown Travelodge allows you to park your car float as long as the carpark isn't full. They can't guarantee a space for you.

The Motel Voyager in Minchinbury says the same thing.

The following link has the other hotels recommended by the raceway if you want to investigate it further, but you'd have to travel a lot further to stay at any of the other places.

this is what the sister inlaw came up with mate.

    hope it helps

if i need to stay there i stay at the travellodeg or the country comfort which ever it is beside the rsl club! never had a prob with parking the 4wd and car trailer there. and its close with the bonus of having the club there.
i can answer you questions as good as anyone but its hard to tell without testing the springs or seeing them etc. the graph it looks like the springs but without seeing the whole setup i cant say. as to the box what has been done to it?
be happy to help but its hard over the net!

Cheers Shane. I'll do the ring around.

I like the sound of an RSL nearby-I won't have as far to crawl home after dinner.

Mick-we're about 99% it's the springs, but I won't have any idea how big they are till I strip the head off in a couple of weeks. I've had them out a few times, but never bothered to measure them. I don't think there will be any dramas finding a suitable replacement though-a spring is a spring is a spring.....

My ANDRA licence arrived today-it's all gathering speed now-I'd better stop wasting time and get out into the cold, wet shed and keep going..........

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but did this end up being the issue when you went back to the dyno? Or was it something else?
