Much of a muchness, really.

Transplant in a T-series. Stronger than both you have mentioned above, good selection of ratios, aftermarket LSD Centers available.

T series is best^

But out of the borg warner and s series, i'd prob say the borg warners take the beating a smidge better. I have a two mates, one with a smallport and the other with just a 4ac (cam,weber, higher comp) and there BW's just take it! lol.

Off the top of my head, TA2x Celicas do have the narrowest T-series housing, but be aware some of them came out with a D-series, which i have heard described as 'utter poo'.
