    Wink 22r to 22re changeover

Hey all, in kinda new to this forum but keen to pick all the great minds on here.

Ive got a 22r 97 hilux and im interested in changing it over to a 22re.

As far as im aware the 22re comes in an RA65 celica and RT142 corona, but im having trouble finding either of these cars for a donor.

Does anyone have any ideas where to look or what else i can do?

    Cheers

I really cant see its worth the effort, it may go slightly better, but the EFI used in those times was basic and i'd be suprised if it was more economical.
    Just my 2 cents.

Yeah i know it seems a bit silly, but at the moment im getting 19L per 100km, ive read elsewhere that with the efi version i can see improvements down to 13L per 100km and an extra 10hp. Ive got a medium profile cam coming from the states, and will be looking at throwing a small turbo on it so the efi setup will be much easier to setup.

I looked at a buick, ecotec and 3rz swap but theyre all looking at around 4k with me doing the manual labour. I can do the work no worries so the turbo setup is looking like the way to go as ive had much success with my Tourer V and its 1jzgte...
