Can anyone answer my question about the ra60 differential housing bolting straight in? Also can anyone help me out with boring out the carby, maybe a step by step guide? I shall use the search and see if anything comes up.

Edit - Search wasnt useful, just had rejetting in regards to a weber

I found this on Ausrotary, anyone know if it would apply to toyota carbs?

Haha i love this reasoning he is right though, there is more energy in a litre of cold fuel then there is in hot fuel, and i doubt you will cool the fuel enough to effect the operation temperature of the engine but this is a mod that i will also have on my car eventually

Hi All sorry for the late reply!

Troublesome 7, yes you can do it - have convertered to mechanical before and played with jets and bowls, so it should be defiantly doable - just no one has done up a guide on it. If you do one take some photo's and do up a basic guide.

Glen from memory we took about 10mm off, my mate did in his machine shop for me. As the 2sc is a non interferance motor we basicly took all of that gap out... so make sure you change your timing belt and tensioner as well, because if the belt brakes you risk the chance of bending a valve on the piston crown. Double check with your machine shop before doing this, I am going off memory from 5+ years ago.

DaveSpec you will be happy with the results - espically when you are doing some red light racing and the fuel has time to chill before it enters the carb at WOT, its almost like a 25hp shot of the line lol. And for any worried about using this in winter and icing up - the trick is.... drum roll please.... don't use it in winter! Save it for the 30 degrees + summer days. Again this is just a cheap fun mod for those who like getting the most out of their motors.

Lately I have been thinking about making an heat exchanger for the intake on my Corona... maybe ice on one side with a sink between the intake pipe and ice bath... hmmmmm...

    Happy Toymodding
