G series Open or LSD?

Hi All,
Im trying to identifiy if its an open or LSD? (Photo of Diff 1)
I know it's from a Auto JZX100 and is a 8" G series Diff Ratio is a 3.9.

If I hold the pinon and spin the half shaft the other shaft spins the same way.

It does not look the the traditional G series open or torsen center's (ie Pic of Diff 2 which is a torsen).


Diff 1 ------ 3.9 Ratio

Diff 2 ---- Torsen LSD

If you can hold the pinion and spin the half shaft likely it is an open diff.

by the picture it looks open but if you want to be sure just take the centre out and split it and if there is only sun gears its open. if it has any clutch packs its lsd. By the picture you sent its definately not torsen.
