Default Toyota Soarer GZ10 brakes upgrade

    Hi, folks!
I`m from Ukraine. This is my Soarer '85 GZ10 with 1G-EU + W57 on board.

The old brakes has poor effectivity and I can purchase for a good price front and rear brakes (rotors + calipers) from Mark II Tourer V JZX100.
The rear brakes have similar construction, so i will not take many efforts to install them on my car.

But comparing of front brakes has delivered many question to me.
Next you can see the pics with my native and TourerV brakes:

    Toyota Soarer

    Toyota Mark II Tourer V

So, as you can see, the on of the problems, in different rotor mounting - on my brakes it`s situated behind the hub, but on the Mark 2 it mounted on the hub. This is the first problem I don`t know how to solve.
The next is in different holes(for bolts) number and position on Mark 2 rotors. Native hub has 4 bolts and 114,3 mm range between them. The Mark2 rotors has 5 holes and 110 mm range between them. So I need to make necessary holes to install the rotors on my native 4-bolts configuration.

I will be very thankful, for the any opnions and information about how to make this conv and will it cost all the efforts about it. Thanks.

p.s. sorry for my poor English, i haven`t have a practise for a long time.

Welcome to Toymods and you have done a great job explaining your problem. These forums contain a lot of information so my first piece of advice would be to use the search function and also the similar thread links at the bottom of an open thread. A few tips on the search:
    - uncommon 3 character words are too short to be included in the database but some common ones have been 'pre-programmed' in.
    - use the advanced search functions: in particular limit the search to specific areas of interest (in this case you want the tech section and maybe members rides)

While i dont know too much about brake upgrades for your car, this thread would have a lot of relevant information as even though they may not be the same brakes but the same principles can apply.

Unfortunately the pictures have died, but the thread starter is still very active on the forum and may still have them available.

Look forward to seeing your progress as we dont get too man members here outside of Australia.

if it helps, a while ago I collated most (but not all, especially *A80 & *Z30) brake upgrade threads here <http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26667>.

    btw: nice looking Soarer!
