Default Help needed with conversion - will pay for time.

    Hi Guys,

I've put a 4agze into my '90 ae93 sx corolla. Both engine and ecu are known good - both out of another car of mine. Mechanicals are mostly done (only minor stuff left), however I'm having electrical problems I cannot resolve. Engine cranks over, no spark or fuel pump or ign pulse. Had ecu checked by efi and found no fault. I'm sadly at a loss and need help. I've gone through the ecu wiring maps found here and on other sites. I'm 95% certain what I've done is correct, but still the problem persists.

I'll pay for time to get it running. If you have the skill, I seriously need your help.

Car is located at castle hill and accessible business hours only Mon to Sat.

    Pm for more info.

    Cheers and thanks!

If you have a workshop (reasonably nearby) I can move the car to you for resolution. Please pm with contact details, shop location, and price per hour.

    Many thanks

Old Toyota ECU's do not report power loss at injectors, coils etc so first of all check these manually. That is, ensure that when ignition is on, power is delivered to igniter (both +B and GND) , coil packs and every single injector. That would do.

i had same issue when i dropped a gze into my ta22. check your ground to injectors, because the cold start switch ground on mine was very weak. as they are low imepdance injectors, just manually ground them for testing, try starting it, and check if it starts.

for spark, check ign pulse out from ecu first to coil pack. is this the DLI model? even if it isnt youll have some sort of a pulse to check with, then check its getting spark to either the coil pack (DLI) or distributer from igniter module, then spark from dizzy etc to plugs =)

    also:

hard wire fuel pump (for temp testing)
with ign pulse, check pulse to igniter module from ecu (black and orange from memory)
