My old turbo 2litre was regularly revved to 8000rpm both on and off the track. I had a TRD oil pump, the crank was cross drilled, 6kg billet flywheel and swinging gate baffles in an extended sump bowl. Pretty simple mods really and worked well. You do have to watch what grade oil you use based on your bearing clearances though.
Mine were to the more open end of the scale for longevity and i had to run a reasonably heavy grade oil to maintain good oil pressure.
Oil pressure gauge is a must...but then that's the case for any perf engine i reckon.
