    Hrm.
Blacktop BEAMS with that gear could be worth anything from 4-6k on eBay.
Hard to tell though as you dont see setups like that sell often.

Delete this thread, looks like its going nowhere anyway.
you gotta admit tho Nath, it's pretty ghey to just start posting on a forum asking how much you can flog off a motor that you are going to thrash in japan, just to make your drifting holiday cheaper

Thanks for that. Would that be for just the motor and box or with the turbo kit,ecu and injectors inluded?

I spose a pesimist could look at it that way. Or you could look it as a way to save alot of money on buying it all individually.

Going by your lodgic any time you put your foot flat its "thrashing it". Don't know how you have ever bought a car as it would be stuffed from all the "thrashing".

I've been into Nissan most of my life and its only since I started working on 1FZ's and 1J/2J's that I've realised that Toyota's have alot to offer. My first post on here would have been years ago but as a frequent forum user I did what Mods/Admin advise and did a search before I posted. Can you tell me what my first post should have been so the next time I want to use a new forum I'm not so "Ghey"

    1. You probably won't go to Japan
    2. Your username is "Drifter"
    3. I really doubt that said Altezza will still be available when you actually get there (if you do go)
    4. You're calling everyone a keyboard warrior ? lol

    he actually does proper "dorifto"
modded cars in japan don't have a big market.. cos of the lack of rego thing (hence the plug in comps etc)

Nathan, some people come onto the forums and just ask how much they can selL their XX for.. basically what you posted.. then they come back and try to flog off their crap, and have no other contribution to the club or forum... generally, that sort of thing is not considered a valuable addition to toymods, so is "discouraged"
your first post? i dunno.. something other than this thead lol

regarding thrashing... i think most people would consider drifting to be "thrashing" a car.. ie WOT bouncing off limiter, clutch kicking, etc etc.. generally things that are not so good for it (in terms of initiating damage)
from all the threads i"ve read in various places abotu peoples drift holidays.. generally the cars end up rooted but as you say, everyones ideas of "thrashed" are different, and you miht take good care of the engine..

but that sorts goes against the idea of a jap dorifto holiday?

that 4-6K would be a package of everything, or maybe not box.
consider the cost of the normal front cuts for the BEAMS, then add maybe two grand for the internals, turbo and comp.. another grand or so if it has box and is imported as a front cut? = the 4-6

then again, used ngine, unknown history "only used for holiday driving" might only get you 2 or 3K for the whole shebang...

will the 6 speed (same as the nissan one) hold up? more importantly, will the diff hold up? the diff is smaller than G series (F series iirc?)
