they should fit as the seat would be the same as i can go from 34.5 up to 36mm on my beams motor
Have bought a 2Tg in parts - rare stuff here so figured Id have a go at
making it a single lump again
Its a early 220 vertion with smal valves. Question is will 222 valveseats fit in
the 220 head or do they have larger outside diameter ?
Just looking for options .
Cheers

Yes you can replace the early valve seats with later ones for bigger diameter valves. Its not a bad idea as the 220 valve seats and valves are more prone to wear with un-leaded fuel than the later 222 gear.
Remember to dry check all the clearances (and for spring bind) before you start up. Later 222 valves have about 0.5mm shorter stem length than 220 valves.
Sounds good, thanks . Now to find out who sells them : )

Larger valves... larger seats... often times mean porting might be in order.
Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
Hi,
Toyheadauto carries valves (and a whole bunch of other- expensive- performance gear) for the 2TG.

You'll find the link to the 2TG parts a quarter-way down the page.
However most of the performance products Toyhead carry are manufactured by Kameari USA, including the valves. As a result it's marginally cheaper to buy directly from Kameari because you avoid the markup. Still, be prepared to remortgage your house- you'd think they were made out of condensed unicorn poo for the price they're asking.
Here's the link to their 2TG section- http://www.kameariusa.com/2TGproducts.php

The Smurf: A 1972 TA22 with a 2TGEU, individual throttle bodies and a bad attitude.
Yeah, those Kameari prices made my sphincter tighten just looking at them.
I've done some searching and I've found this:

BRD claim to be experts in the 2T(G?) and 3T field so maybe these valves will fit (or be made to). They're significantly cheaper than the Kameari ones and available in multiple diameters.
Oldskewltoy is right though- you may need to look into porting as larger valves usually means head work is needed.

Thanks for looking but belive BRD are into 2T-C and 3T-C
Liked everything but the prices of the kameari stuff
but no need for oversize race valves , just stock 222/ 260/ 262 size valves and seats
Yea, may need a bit of porting to suit..
