Default Bilstein circlip adjustable shocks Question?

Does anybody know if the three circlip positions correspond to raised, stock and lowered or stock low and lower or something like that?

I just put bilsteins in my car the other day and the circlip came in the top position. When I measured it against the stock suspension the top position was nearly exactly at the same height as the stock suspension. If there was any difference it would have only been a mm if that.

Thanks for that. I guess they are trying to compensate for the slight rise you get when fitting high pressure shocks by having two lowering positions.
