OK found a place, but not sure how good it will come out. Taking them into Hornsby Brake & Clutch. Will let you all know how it goes.

Hi all,
Just got my Superstrut setup from Terra to install in the Corolla, so as per FAQ I need the disc rotors reduced in diameter from 275mm to 262mm. The problem I have right now is finding a place that can do it. I rang B & R brakes in Castle Hill and as much as they wanted to help they said that 13mm was more than what they are really setup to do.
Hornsby area would be my ideal location but if there's nothing in Hornsby then I've got no choice.
I've got a phone number for a tool shop out in Mulgrave (near Windsor), but not sure what they'll charge, plus not sure of the risk of driving out there (my front brakes are not good at all right now).
So where did you all get your rotors reduced? And how much did it cost? There's plenty of posts of people who've had this done, but no-one mentions where they got it done and how much it cost. I dont want to end up spending an arm and a leg to get these to fit when the whole thing only cost $200 to begin with.
Cheers - Craig

You go find a good engineering shop with lathes and good wheel sense.
There is is probably one in Newcastle or outskirts of Sydney in yellow pages.
Brake shop might have the tools/lathes and might not.
See how you go.

The thing that worries me most is balance. Apparently DBA have to balance check their rotor's after manufacture, so I'm assuming all rotor's are balance checked. Since I'm getting the 6.5mm of material removed from the outer edge (275 --> 262mm diameter), that's a fair bit of material being removed, I'm wondering whether that will affect the balance enough to cause vibration/braking issues.
Engineer's to comment?

Kev at Specialised Brake and Clutch down there have done a few sets for me in the past. From both secondhand OEM discs and new DBA/Brembo discs.
Brookers Brake Service in West Ryde should also be able to do it, if you're still looking
