I have a feeling that will stand for a little while yet... Bill was hoping to beat it with his 2ZZ, but now has more dramatic mods going in so is off the road and will be out of that class when complete.

I'm a long way from doing any engine internals on my car as I'm concentrating on getting the suspension and handling sorted right now.

"Since there is no way to determine an engine's internal modification capacity is based on the Original Factory capacity of the block used."

He'll still be in teh same class. What sort of mods are we talking? Are there stroker cranks available for 2zz's???

You can put the 1ZZ crank into a 2ZZ to get around 2 litres of capacity.

And yes he'd still be in the same class.

if the car is still under warrenty or there aren't allowed to be anymods for insurance. Then stroking it is the better option to forced induction.

That's what I'm looking at down the track. I think the compression is upped to 12.5:1 when combined with low compression pistons and displacement out to 1.933L. Obviously the rods would be strengthened as well valves and springs. I have been told it runs pretty reliably at 9000 RPM when built properly too.

But this is still a couple of years down the track.

stroking would void any warranty too, and pretty easy to tell when it's done too.

Nice but the question is can u beat 133.9rwkw
Its still got the rally spec cams in it, so not likly even close. And as the engine is still only brand spankin new the rev limiter is set to 8000, id hate to destroy an engine at a dyno day.

I realise that, and was more making a light hearted joke, anyone know whether hing actually sold his engine or has something new instore for us to beat his own record with. Goddamn that thing is impressive.

When I saw him a couple of months ago at the AGM he said he had no plans to improve that figure just yet. Since Dave sold his rolla it's probably meant that he feels even more comfortable with his figure too. I'm pretty sure I won't get close. ~122-123kw from mine I'd say in the cooler air. Until I start playing with the engine or ECU it's not going to be challenged by me.

Well. There you go. No dyno day 13 for PHOBIA. Just got the call from Rod at SAS and it seams that my head gasket problem is still there. F@#k me. This is really getting old.
