Default Shock and spring setup for JZS160/GS300

    Hi all,

I've been looking in shock and spring setup for the GS300 as the factory setups is getting a bit sad. There are quite a few options but I would to cater for towing and a good handling.

The bushes are pretty good for 300,000km.

    The options are:
    - Bilstein/Koni shocks with kingsprings
    - Coilovers - HSD

Any other option would be greatly appricated.

    Cheers

    Just for an update,

I have bitten the bullet and gone for Bilstein B6 Sprint shocks with Eibach Pro kit.

Been chatting with a few people at Suspension places they have told me...
    - Aftermarket coilover like HSD or Teins CS setup will be too harsh for a luxury car
    - Shocks either Monroe GT Gas, Bilstein or Koni
    - Springs avoid Lovell (too soft), Kings Springs (firm but some springs had failed), Pedders (don't like them) and Eibach (if you can afford them)

I'll take photos once I get all the parts and installed.

    Cheers

    Good choice.

I can't believe they recommended the Monroe GT Gas though?
They are designed for ma and pa's commodore.
The GS300 is a tad too sporty for such shocks.

I'd also highly recommend replacing ALL the bushes with genuine ones if you haven't already, and have a good look at all ball joints/tie rod ends as well.
If the car has done 300,000km's then they'll probably all require replacing, even if they 'look' good with a quick inspection.
