Gen 3 1ggte throttle position sensor with gen 2 loom?

Hey my throttle body is cracked and causing vac leak.

I went and got another today from a member on here. Got home to find out that the plug is different, mine has the 2 yellow plugs going to the TPS, the other is a smaller unit.

I can't just swap the TPS' over because the size and everything is different, so I am wondering if anyone knows if I can cut the wiring and join the gen 3 TPS loom to the Gen 2 engine loom?

Sorry to hear it didn't work on ur engine Blair.

If you cant adapt it or if you find a Gen2 one, happy to give u ur $$ back.

It's my stuff up so not after a refund, but if possible to rewire, could I grab the bit of loom that plugs into it?

dude find a wiring diagram for both gen 2 and 3.. i have gen3 on my pc.
trace the wires and colours and match up. i can't see it being too different.

otherwise try toyodiy and try to match up a tps from another toyota with the same part no / and or plug.

If you have auto you'll need to find one thats the same, if its manual it will be ok.
The 2nd plug of the 2 plug TPS is just for autobox control.
