    Default seat rail question

Ive got some buckets that im throwing into the rona and was gonna just extend my stock rails with some metal ive measured it and think it will work.
but now ive got another idea that would look alot less dodgey but im not sure how to do it or if it possible at all.

can i seperate the top part of a sliding rail from the bottom part? i tried to slide it off and it gets stuck there is there a bolt im missing or does it just not seperate?

    thanks

    sexy seats like these? or

what car make/model/year are the seats (going in) out of?
    and what model rona?
somone whos done it before will be able to be of some assistance

and i dont think the sliding part of the rails are interchangeable or should be tampered with for safety reasons.

finally, pictures tell a thousand words. some wise old man once told me (might have been river) haha

    usually no.

they are kind of designed so that does not happen...

there is usually a tab or an indent somewhere, that physically stops the inner bit coming out.

the other issue, is that welding to seat rails can weaken them. but then aftermarket rails are generic with tabs welded on.... so... maybe is ok ish, but engineer/rego?

you prob already know this but #A6# celica/supra have same rails so for example bride rails for a celica would bolt in and allow fitment of sexy brides.
