I think you know my views of the FT-86 Dylan.....
So there are going to some new cars by the T company presented at the Motorshow this year druming up a lot of interest such as the much anticipated FT86 prototype.
Anyone interested in heading out there as a group? The more interest shown in these new cars, the better the chances are of them coming to Australia.
The show runs from Oct 15-24 so start posting what dates/times are good for you and see if we can get as many Toymodders out there (not necessarilly at the one time) to canvas the Toyota stand and get some GOOD cars here in the future.

so you will also be carrying along a swag of cash as a deposit then?
I wont drop any $$$ till I make sure it is everything I hope it is, but if so then I will be making it happen yes..
I think I'll drive the turbo Subaru version before I slap down any cash.
If in doubt power out
Subaru have already announced they are not bringing a version here.
Gheyz, will just have to raid their parts bin then. Regardless the thing isn't here until 2012, I'll need a new daily before then. On second thoughts this isn't going to be a very good tow car haha.
If in doubt power out
yep
a 2.5 in there instead of a 2.0 would make some difference as well
I dount it will be long at all before turbo kits are available for these things.
If interwebz interest means anything, they are going to sell a whole bunch of these things all across the globe.
latest US pricing I'm hearing is $23,000 - $28,000 depending on the spec levels, so add about $10K for the Aussie rip off merchants.
I've seen estimates of $45k for Aus pricing which is probably more accurate knowing Toyota Australia lol. As for the Motorshow probably should go have a squiz at some stage. Will look at the new supercharged V8 coons as well open pod filter in the engine bay from factory. Well it is surrounded by plastic shielding but the airbox has no lid.

lol, careful it might catch fire from fuel soak!!!!
wonder how the po-po will deal with that? lol
I have no idea but it certainly opens up a can of worms for modified car owners.
If in doubt power out
they will probs say it's legal cos it isn't oiled, and maybe the bonnet seals it when it's closed? dunno
Yeah, it seals against the inner bonnet when closed and looks to be a dry filter...
Ben...
Yeah, Chrysler do something similar with a Mopar filter as a factory option in the 300c HEMI
I reckon I'll head out to the show at some stage...
