Ra40 no instrument lighting

Noticed when i went to leave for work this morning i had no instrument lights when my headlights switched on. Headlights work as per normal and can hear relay clicking in but have no power going to the instrument fuse under the hood in the fuse box next to the regulator on the passenger side of the engine bay. Anybody had the same fault cos im thinking my light switch has gone down!! Have had no prob with any of the headlights up until now!!

check your fuses

From memory (going back 5+yrs) there is a fuse-able link wire at the pos+ battery terminal. check that wire hasn't gone bad. it has a black plug/connector with 3wires going into it.

Have you taken the dash apart recently? check the dimmer switch/dial. make sure its still plugged in too!
