Torquay Rotary Motor Show - October 31st 2010

Hi folks

Just putting together the TCCA calendar for October and realised the Torquay Motorshow is on October 31st.

Gates open 9am and judging starts at 11am.

It was a really good mix of cars last year and a really great spot by the water, but not enough Japanese machines

Any one interested in making a day of it?

Given I don't have a Toyota that I can use.. I was thinking the VW maybe. Though my Mum will be in town so I will have to convince that a cruise is a good thing!

Will be keen to bring the Celica, providing nothing breaks at Winton the weekend before.

Otherwise, I'll bring the Corolla...

I did a poor job of convincing Mel that a nice Sunday drive with Mum and the VW to Torquay to a car show was a good idea...

Should have just told them we were going for fish and chips and then "discovered" the car show when we were down there... dammit!

Tate is talking about taking the Crown down, so that is two people going so far.

Just a reminder that the 31st Oct. is the Melb. cup long weekend, might affect turnout.

Some of the muscle cars were rather nice I thought... there are only so many mustangs a man can look at though!

The wife and I planned to bring down the KE25 with the surfboards on the roof, but she now has to work a 12 hour shift...

But I'll be there in either the Celica or the Corolla... Cannot decde which one.

after driving the whale around in the rain for several hours today, if it's raining tomorrow morning then i'm going to pussy out and stay at home on the couch.

I'm going to have to pussy out myself now.

I have so mush stuff to do at home with uni etc. Plus now that I've decided to take the Celica to the Phillip Island Sprints, I have to take the engine and gearbox out and make some changes before taking it down.
