    Default panhard bar moving

can anyone tell me if moving the original panhard bar mounting points inwards makes any difference. the idea is that im looking at some coilovers for the rear and they will fowl on these points so i was thinking of moving them. this is for an ra28.

    hi mat
have a look at modifying and fitting a falcon watts linkage
it will make it a bit more precise

if you use a WATTS LINKAGE!!!!! then do it right and mount the centre link to the chassis, otherwise moving the panhard rod a bit won''t make much difference. can't imagine why it would foul on the coilovers though.

idea is to lower the rear rolling centre which can be done with a panhard bar. coilovers tend to fowl where the panhard mounts upto the body so mods will need to be made. if i went watts it would be body mounted but it looks quite hard to do it properly. in saying that anything can be done with time.

Moving the panhard mounts inwards will have a negative effect.

Look at Brendon Mee's RA23, hes got quite a nice watts link setup in that.
He'll be at the CCC track day.

heres what im thinking. car will handle like a huge pig when i fit the big rims and tyres due to stupid amounts of unsprung weight. so after a few conversations with people car will get rn40 diff and guards fixed, pumped and pimped with some nice show rims then in say a year ill go the irs and finish the rear off. im so missing not driving the car and it sucks so panhard bar and watts can wait for now so i can just get the car going.
