rubber mounts are the same but as you said you need the s2 cross member to fit the jz engine. and either jzx90 alloy mounts (10mm back then the jzx81) or jzx81 for the factory fit. (the ones that bolt to the block)
Hey all im buying a s1 mx83 it has no motor so i doubt it still has engine mounts, so ill need to buy them with the motor, is there any differance in the mounts? I ask this because how the xmember needs to be s2 to fit a 1j, anyone clear this matter up? Cheers

As mentioned, they are the same but I would upgrade them instead of buying factory MX83 items.

thanks for the replies guys, im talking about fitting a 7m, it has no motor or trans with it so ill have to get a 7m from a wrecker, i was wondering if the 7m s1/s2 engine brackets were differant as the xmembers are, as if the two models used the same brackets wouldnt the motors sit differant between series due to the xmembers
cant help ya with the 7m sorry![]()
pretty sure the engine brackets are different given they have different part numbers
series 1 are angled to suit the crossmember, series 2 are a horizontal lower section IIRC
i can take some pics of the series 1 mounts i have next week
