only 1.9 ft lb less peak torque it makes peak torque sooner now and holds later in the rpm hence
the higher power , since power=torqueXrpm/5252 roughly (with ots of other variables)

Yeah the graphs are a bit deceiving at a first glance as in the first graph it's only rev'ing to about 6k1, in the second its about 7k4...

ok think i found the cause of slow 1/4 mile , my turbo is whining really bad and car is now undrivable
so off that comes and have to send back to manufacturer , its only done 16,000 km
and 13,000 of that was less than 13psi

don't worry about the boost its run mate, they can take a lot more than that. Most turbo failures are either caused by physical damage to the wheels, or oil feed problems.

Either way though, sucks to be you man, sorry. Hope you get it sorted quickly and get back to the track for some fun, and a proper time & trap speed

    thread revival

    i replaced turbo with a garrett gtx3076r
and i now have 311rwkw but still doing slow drag times
running 255 50 16 toyo tq drag radials on 14psi tyre pressure i ran
    a 12.66 @111.94 mph 1.975 60'
for the power i should be doin 120mph

why am i still failing 12 months later?
    what am i doing wrong?

Maybe you're just a shit driver, or there's a coke can stuck under the accelerator haha

What are you using as the basis for expected MPH? Moroso drag calculator or similar?

Its a pretty heavy car man, are you really unhappy with a 12.66 on a pretty slow 60' time?

120mph puts you pretty close to a ten second pass with all other aspects spot-on (perfect launch, shifts, gearing etc)........ that's a quick pass for a heavy car.

Ha Ha that could be a lot of your problem the first 60ft is the most important section of your quatermile
How hard are you leaving the line and are you getting any wheel spin

comparing mph to what tuner said it should do , and also every online calculator i can find
trust me its not easy gettin a manual 311rwkw 1640kg car of the line fast but
everyone says trap mph is the true hp which puts me at 245ish rwkw? and i have dyno printouts from two different dyno's showin
    over 300kw,
i know dyno's not 100% accurate but over 20%out surely not
so where am i losing power?

Thats the problem then you need better grip then bigger rpm take off
In my celica it only had 170 rwkw and ran a 12.3 at 110mph but I was running 26x8 slicks and leaving the line on the limmiter 6500rpm with no wheel spin at all and a 1.6 60ft
The slicks gained me a 1.1 seconds over street tyres

Low tyre pressure would also slow you down... get good tyres
