with the vipec i had dealings with the biggest problem was the wiring job,it was a big mess & kept playing up so it was easier to pull it all out & start again then it was to fix what was there.

they may be ok (VIPEC)but sometimes its faster & cheaper in the long run to use what you know than persavere with something that is poorly installed & not functioning correctly as it turns up to your door .

we did try but to no avail with the vipec ,the customer was not happy with it as the original installer/tuner had what the customer believed to be enough chances to get it at least drivable.

...so nothing to do with the actual ECU then, just the wiring job the installer did which can stuff any ECU experience.

Yes more the wiring job, possibly that caused some of the issues with the ecu's functioning,
our tuner was not impressed with the software either,

possibly a bit of personal preference ?

He doesn't like the older Haltec's either (slow clunky software). But quite like's the new Haltec stuff .
Most have their likes & dislikes as we all know
