Default mustang blinkers RA28 MY ELEANOR

I have genuine mustanh tail lights in my RA28
does anyone know where to get the orange blinker for the mustang light, apparently the american blinkers are all red and don't need and orange part.?

I'd be interested to see how real Mustang lights have been adapted to an RA28!

    Post up some pics!

Yes, in the US cars have red blinkers on the rear. To get an amber lens you would probably have to try some Mustang importers. They should have faced this problem when complying cars for Aus. Any recent issue of Unique Cars should provide you with quite a few places to try.

Kinda OT, but I prefere photobucket.com over imageshack. Less annoying popups!

A couple of weeks ago, a guy on the"'How to Chanel" was making a replacement plastic lense for a '38 Packard. This guy made a mould from an original lense, and simply coloured some clear resin to suit, and poured it into the mould. A few hours later, he had a perfect replica.

Chasing down the info for you, I have come up with this.

    Product Name: Alumilite
    Web Address: http://www.alumilite.com

    Australian Distributors: Cardstone
    Web Addres: www.cardstone.com

When you get into Cardstones homepage, look for the "Dealer List for nearest stockist"

Could possibly be used for making clear lenses for TA22 celica's as well.

    Hope this helps, cheers Chuck.

    glad to help

on topic: how much curvature is in the lens?

... tho i do like the idea of casting my own, the shape of some lenses doesn't suit slump/flat casting (e.g. injection moulding is original process, non-pressure moulding could be done if you can spin the mold in a centrifuge while it sets).

this looks good, could use clear with orange LED lights
The lens is flat side to side and slowly curves from top to bottom.
