just wire it to the wire that turns on the "dash lamp" i assume thats the open door light in the cluster yeah? if a door opens, does that light comes on straight away?
i figured this would be easy but..
the switches themselves earth to body ok. the wire connected to switch, when unplugged from loom, also shows continuity.
but when the switch is connected to loom, so that dome light and dash lights work, multimeter shows no continuity to ground, or voltage...
is there something in the integration relay that is confusing the multimeter? will it confuse the alarm too? the ignition barrel light has a delay after door is closed, but all other lights just go out straight away...
will it help to say.. diode in to the switch wires?

that wire does not seem to have continuity to ground tho... but maybe the multimeter is getting confused..
i'll probably dry wire it tomorrow and see if it triggers alarm or not
SOLVED
seems the alarm doesn't really mind, even tho multimeter check was whacky...
all good![]()
