Did you mean it's integrated, as in the bellhousing and gearbox are as one, like a k40/k50 gearbox from an old corolla?
Looking at Altezza 6 speeds on ebay, it looks like the bellhousing is bolted to the front of the gearbox, so it could be removed? Though the bellhousing does look a little longer compared to a A or T series bellhousing, so it could contain some of the gearbox components.
The bellhousing is cast as part of the front gearbox housing, so it is definately not able to be separated from the box by simply unbolting. If you are looking for a bellhousing to bolt to a 3SG, simply find one from a 2S-C engine (ST Corona, or a SA63 Celica), That way you can bolt a W55/57 or W58 to it.
cheers Chuck.

If your bolting the box up to a 3S-GE (NA) then go for either a 2S Bellhousing, or a 3/4Y Bellhousing.
If your bolting the box up to a 3S-GTE (Turbo) then go for a 3/4Y Bellhousing as it puts the starter motor on the inlet manifold side and away from the extra heat of the turbo. Also gives extra room for mounting the turbo.
if its for a 3sg(t)e why wouldnt you use the 6 speed???

im sure they will hold 200rwkw plus, but of course its all up to the driver. I guess if you are doing ipra racing 5 speed would be the choice.

The gear shifter position is further back on the 6 speed compared to the W5x, so that might be a factor. Unless there is a way of shifting it forward.
they is a guy on the altezza forums that has sucsessfully bolted a 3sgte into an altezza using the 6 speed with no major issues

Yes essentially the same gearbox, but the front section/bellhousing is then only suitable for the 1G series of engines, not the 3S's.
Got a funny feeling that the "G" bellhousing bolts to a "T" engine, but the starter or clutch slave is on the wrong side. Way too many sleeps ago.
cheers Chuck.
