yeah they had timing but they were running timed and untimed sessions and the car didn't make it to the timed sessions.

there were some really quick cars there a few were into the 1:02's

There was a car there that had previously run under a minuet but it hadent been driven for a few years. so car and driver was out of practise...

saying that it was a tube chassis RX7 with mid mounted 20B PP and porche transaxle it was porn for the ears going up the hill

Im putting my hand up! Looks like a great day at Wakefield.

The Wakefield 300 will be held the following friday,saturday,sunday where Im managing a team which is running in the race. It is expected to do 1.04 all day. Really is quick when you consider it will be running for 300km with one 5 min stop. As for 1.02's very quick times. If I can get into the 1.06's that would be enough for me..

Hey Rossco is this track day like the usual one's run by Garth on this forum where we have spots allocated to cars i.e. max 32 cars on the day but one car may have multiple drivers?

This keeps the number of cars limited but means people can enter one car and have two drivers which splits the cost. Just thinking it might help fill the last couple of spots if people can share their car and split the entry if they wish..............and people can drive each others cars if they so desire.

Of course everyone driving would have to have the appropriate licences etc.

Just reminded me Shano... on a related topic, how does the $20 for passengers then relate (i.e: is it only payable by people who are not already paid car entrants)? What does the 20 bucks cover, and who's pocket does it go in?

I'm happy to take the twenty directly if anyone wants a "ride" in my car

Shane, this is the very first time I have organised a track day so I'm not to sure what you mean by using the same car but having two drivers and then going halves in the entrants fee. Does this translate to 1 car, 2 drivers, 2 spots out of the 32, 1 fee shared ? If it is then we will still be down $210. Let me know if I've got that totally wrong though.

Phil, the $20 for the passengers go straight into the account and whatever is left will be donated to the CCG. If we get 32 paid entrants then I'll organise lunch from subway, something like 4 platters for everyone there on the day.

Garth, no problem, still got 8 spots left, with a few people saying that they're keen but same old story, if the money's not in the account, I'm counting that as a no.
