ToyotaFest 2010 Queensland Crew

Hey Guys,

Gerrard and I are heading down to Toyfest in 51LII this year, which I have been trying to get my butt down to for years.

We are planning on leaving Brisbane on Friday 1st October around lunchtime, stopping overnight somewhere in NSW and arriving in Sydney on Saturday with some time up our sleeves on Sat arvo for carwashing, catching up with some Toymodders and preparations for the show.

At this stage we only know of one other car nut travelling from Qld but we'll be making a good cruise of it, so if youre heading down to Toyfest, it would be great to have some Qld'ers and even northern NSW people joining us.

We havent finalised where were staying on the Friday night, so let me know if you have any suggestions.

As for a meeting point on the Friday, I think the BP Yatala on the M1 would be a good meet point, I"ll confirm a time closer to the date.

Hey SillyGirl, when were you planning on heading through N/NSW? And which route were you thinking of taking - inland or Pac? I have to come from around Ballina way so that's pretty much Pacific Hwy, and inland travel is back through Lismore, K'sina (Casino), etc.

So depending on what you got planned, I might jump in the convoy.

*Ninja edit - that is also providing I can get these new shoes on in time.

Actually sratch that (tentatively), I'm thinking of getting into Sydney on Friday now instead of Saturday, got some old friends to catch up with on the weekend and I'm hoping to get to the CCC, if I can drag my ass out of bed that early to jaunt from the west into the city.

Sorry for the late reply Andrew - havent finalised route yet, would depend on numbers I guess... but I see now you might be heading down Friday, so all good.

I'll post up any developments made on this trip anyway for all to see.

Ok its most likely we'll be taking the "inland" route.

If there are any others who were thinking of meeting up with us at Yatala please speak up! If there's a group of us I will plan around that, if not I will stick to my original plans.

Wilbo, I will PM you hopefully by the weekend to confirm meet point/time and plans for accomodation on the Friday night. Im sussing out where we're staying on the Friday night and im including you in these plans so i'll let you know soon
