    Default what thermostat for 7MGTE?

    I recently changed my timing belt and and found my thermostat had been "gutted". I got new one from sprints. Only thing is it takes 15mins of idle to open. By this time everything feels as hot as after a Dyno run! Is there somewhere i can buy a better thermostat or should i just gut this one too lol?

    Maybe ask your local auto store for a ten degrees colder thermostat, the one i put in 1g's at work are 88 degree tridon ones

    you can get a toyota 82 deg C , 88 was stock i think.

    Can't remember price but don't think it was over priced

    Just run the standard Toyota one but REMOVE the jiggle valve.
    I run this setup & it runs at 86C with thermos coming in at 90.
