Toyota G series Diff question

I have a 3.4x:1 that's factory in the US and pretty easy to come by. US hilux's also came with a 3.04...or around that anyways.

My old TRD diff was 2.92:1 and could maybe source you one if you're cashed up

thank you so much guys for the help, I have been pulling my hair out over this one.

The century ratio is a great help, I have a friend in Japan, who has already had a diff pulled out of one for me only to find a 3.7:1 in it, so to know for sure what to look for is great. Only problem with that is that is is borderline not long enough, as that is only 247lm/h at 7000, much better than what I have now, but borderline not quite fast enough.
so:
3.154 is 247 @ 7000
3.08 is 253 @ 7000
2.92 is 267 @ 7000

Begger's cant be choosers, so I might have to just chase down the 3.154 in Japan, but as close as I can get to 3.0:1 the better.

Hi,

ur best bet would be carry that toyota diff codes list with you wherever you go and just check out every wreckers u drive past and keep looking at diff codes on firewalls all the time

Also, keep in mind there is something that changes regarding bearing size or something between the small and large ratios. Sorry i can't be of more help with that but i know that there is something that changes between then so have a look at that too. Should be info here somewhere on that.
