Toyota Parts List Catalogue Catalog Reference Book Genuine
All those search terms have hits. Using the JDM model name helps too, try Celica XX instead of Supra, etc

    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_o...talog&_sacat=0

EDIT: Most are in Japanese but there are (rarely) some in English. They're a dealership reference book so there aren't too many late model examples around, plenty from the '80s and earlier

The trouble is patrickleslie, and I hate to say it, but most of the parts will be NLA (no longer available) unless the engine/trans went on in production like the 4AG, or it's a currently popular model like the AE86. It's possible that certain parts go back into production after a long NLA period, but it would all depend on local Japanese demand.

Some people ask us if we can find out the minimum quantities required for another production run of (insert 1970's/80's model), but as far as we've been able to work out, the minimum is usually in the 1000's. It would be a massive investment to get even one particular part produced again so it really boils down to multiple sources in Japan and abroad increasing demand. As the cars in question are only getting older and fewer, there's really not much point to it unless the car is still in demand (AE86) or collectable, such as a Toyota 2000GT or KGC10 Nissan Skyline GT-R.

Of course the tradeoff is once you diversify your product range, it becomes much harder to keep on top of and provide the level of service you currently do. There are already a lot of sites out there with parts with a price that have long since been discontinued.
    Missed this one.

We're looking at stocking aftermarket and used parts but we still have a way to go perfecting the genuine parts side of the business so until then there are no solid plans to do so.

As for TRD (or Modellista, Nismo, STi, Mugen/Modulo, etc) we do so little of it that our RP will not be competitive. As above it's another area we could expand into but at the moment it's not a priority. From our standpoint there's little demand even though there's a lot of "talk" on social media, in comparison to genuine parts.

All true but they'll be NLA regardless of whether you have a parts book or toyodiy. That's just the reality (and charm) of owning older cars

I've had pretty good luck finding a few small parts through amayama so far...but that luck has to run out some time...oh well
