Default moving shock mounts on live axle

I am currently installing ST141 rear disc brakes on a t18 diff assembly, it requires the moving of the shock mounting point on the diff housing inwards for the shock to clear the brake caliper.

Is this a good idea or are the differences in suspension effectiveness negligible?

will only have to move them inwards about 10mm.

the only info ive found on this is "move the shock mounts..."

    thanks

Yeah go for it, it won't make a lot of difference.
Try to keep the dampers as upright as possible but it's not super important.
