There was a 1J conversion in a Fox body being completed here in Canada a few years back at Adrenaline Motorsports in Waterloo Ontario.

You can contact Phil about the car in link above. Unfortunately though his life just changed and the shop is no longer there.

    Why not run a Windsor?
if you couldnt find a EB 5.0 donor car for under $1500 you wouldnt really be trying.
you are only looking for 12s, Baby Windsor would do that easy.

Throw on some cheap turbos and go lots faster...

Slap turbo's on a standard 5 litre...looking for reliable power not a grenade. Can get a stout crate stroker for about 6grand but there's just something about the Toyota sixes that I like.

Current Issue of Street Machine has a two page article by Mark Arblaster... on a street driven EB XR8.

it ran 11.9s naturally aspirated and 10.9s on Nos.

    then He turbo'd it.
    2 Ebay T70s at 400 a piece. and a $300 intercooler.

9.88 over the quarter with a stock bottom end.

he has just rebuilt it, with some quality components, and run a 9.67.
it runs the BW95LE (IE the original factory auto trans) 4 speed auto with a 3500 converter

He drove it to the track for the last run... a round trip of over 900km.

In regards to Mark, he pulled into the shop I worked in south of Wollongong with a puncture on his Landcruiser towing a local blokes drag car once, I recognised the big bastard and had a long chat, dude loves it, big cars, lil cars (mopars)... yeah good dude, he'd understand lol.
