Default faulty speedo in my MZ20 Need help!

    Hello everyone,

I've joined up to seek some advice. My speedo on my dash has stopped working, it started flicking on and off then stopped altogether. I've had it repaired once, it lasted one day and they don't want anything to do with it now. Is there anything I can do to fix this or should i keep looking for a new instrument cluster.

    cheers.

    iwannagofast,

Generally its the connection of your dimmer as Gu11ty has said ^^

Sometimes its the LCD embedded in your dash thats become faulty.

I would go back to the bloke who did it for starters and either
    1. Demand he finished what he started or
    2. Give your money back.
He can't just do a dodgy and run away saying he wants nothing to do with it afterwoods, that's just bad business practice. I wouldn't take that.

Like when I went to the tyre shop today, I drove off to the servo next door to check the pressures on my new tyres were OK and discovered they taxed my metal valve caps and replaced them with plastic ones. Went straight back there and got the darn things back. Petty, I know, but it was more about the principle than anything else...

Thanks for the quick replies everyone, i'm still getting use to the site. Thought no one had replied as i was expecting private messages to inform me of any. I'll double check the fuses along with dimmer switch and see if it helps any. If no luck how much are you after for your cluster GU11TY?
