    Default Ct26 and brake upgrade

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get a ct26 rebuilt? mine is smokey I thought about just getting the oil seals and replacing them but i dont know how hard that would be.

Also everyone is using ba falcon rotors with nissan 4 spots on 5 stud Mx83s and also some other struts with 5 stud crown hubs, I just wanted to know if this is a possible conversion using My 4 stud mx73 front hubs and struts by just redrilling the rotors

    Cheers josh

$1100 for a rebuild is quite expensive. I've got rebuilds and highflows for around $700 from memory.

Hypergear in melbourne will do a rebuild for $400 if the core is deemed to be ok i.e. shaft is useable.

I did bearings & seals myself using a eBay recon kit (~$100).
    Worked very well.

There is a guide here: http://gt4.mwp.id.au

    MWP,

you have me intrested, I have read that write up from the supra forums, tell me did you have to get the bearing housing machined to fit the bearings? and did you balance or just use the marks set before pulling it to bits? If so who did your machining/balancing and approximate cost.

    Thanks

    Roger

    No machining, no balancing.

The new bearings fit perfectly both in the center housing and on the shaft.
I marked the wheels to shaft and just re-aligned them when reassembling.

My CT26 had been rebuilt & hi-flowed by ATS sometime in the past though.
Im not sure if this made any difference.

I may have found a resonably cheap replacement ct26 so the rebuild is not looking as likely now, Ive moved my coils though and need to get some leeds to suit as i havent got one to reach number one cyllinder, Can I use any old replacement leed with the toyota coils?

Depends on what style of plugs your leads have.
Having the clip-on style makes it more difficult.
