1998 ln 167 hilux diff conversion, need help on ratios please...

hi all,
am looking at replacing my ifs front diff whilst having the room with no 1uz in there.
code on the firewall is a07b

now i know off the top of my head a = 8"
07 - toyota diff code identifier says its a 3.9 ratio, which i find hard to believe seeing as it was a gutless 3.0 na diesel....i was thinking itd be 4.3 or even shorter?

anyway looking at putting a gq/ gu patrol diff in the front, so i need to match ratios or else ive gotta replace both diffs.

My 1999 petrol Hilux has code A05B and is 4.3 ratio
