is there an aftermarket fuel cut defender wired into the car somewhere?
hey guys ive been searching this forum but havnt had much luck i have a problem with my 1ggte its manual but with a A/T ecu i dont have a dash installed in yet.
the car runs perfect doesnt miss a beat but as soon as i hit boost it fuel cuts straight away when i let go of the accelorator it goes back to normal i go to push it and as soon as its about to hit boost its fuel cuts all the time its like have a rev limiter or a speed cut. has anyone heard of this happening?
any information will be greatful
cheers
is there an aftermarket fuel cut defender wired into the car somewhere?
so it cuts as soon as say 3psi of boost is made, or does it try spike up past 12-14psi then cut?
hm, they shouldnt really hit boost cut unless for some reason your air flow meter is registering as maxed out?
possibly... unless anyone else has any ideas?
Do you have a boost gauge hooked up to tell us exactly what boost it starts playing up on?

i think its because i dont have thge SP wire hooked up..i have a autometer dash made up ready to go in but i dont know how to hook the automneter guage to the the SP wire..i dont have a boost guage set uup but i know that i dont hit boost ill hook up the boost guage and see where it plays up.
Its not something as obvious as a air leak or intercooler pipe leak is it?

nah ive check that also checked to see if my exhaust was breathing timing changed plugs ect..if the Sp wire is not connected will the ecu shut down?
Iirc, sp is just for the speed sensor and not needed, but I could be mistaken. Will check wiring diags when I'm home next. As for fuel cut, the only thin I know that will do that is the afm signal exceeding the max airflow that the ecu will allow... although things like a faulty tps, or missing ground on a sensor can lead the ecu to kill fuel completely.
How do you adjust the afm if possible?
Project:RA65 with an engineered 1ggte conversion.

ok ill change the afm and see how ill go thanks guys.
