    Hi,

    Agreed on why it must be a 6 cylinder.

    As stated here, a 3T-GTE would fit easily and provide plenty of power.

    I've always liked the thought of sticking in one of those quattro-valve Ferrari 3.2 litre V8s into a 22.

    Would that not be better in a Ferino kitted Celica....
    Wonder if one of those kits could be adapted to an RA25...

    If you want to go down the oldschool road there is nothing wrong with the 5M-GE

    Sure there is. It's long, heavy, doesn't make much power and there is a much better period replacement in a 3TGTE...

    i too have seen a ta22 in the process of having a 5me fitted, the crankshaft stuck out past the radiator support panel by at least 30mm....

    I quickly left with free the 18rg that was removed from said vehicle before he could change his mind
