Default What is this part and what does it do? ( Borg Warner 35 BW35 )

If anyone knows what this is and the correct adjustment for it could they please let me know. Its a borg warner auto trans from a 1974 Toyota Crown. I am hoping its something to do with the bands as they are due for an adjustment.

Look for a large stud that has a small square or hex head on it, with a jam nut against the case, maybe also has a washer.
    DON'T over torque it!!!!!!
