My first taste of official drag racing and I had a blast! The best I managed was 13.509 @103mph. Im happy with that!

Well i'm pretty happy with what the 18R-GE ran - was a lot faster than I expected it to be!

    My Best Run:
    R/T - 0.568
    60' - 2.414
    330' - 6.612
    660' - 10.166 @ 68.86mph
    1000' - 13.252
    ET - 15.871
    MPH - 85.36

    Kmh - 137.37

Joshstix also ran a rather impressive 12.4!
I say impressive because there is evidently a fair bit more in the car if he manages a clean drive.
(no offense to Josh meant at all - I doubt i could do any better in his car!)

Nice work Pube, how much fun is it? I hope you're hungry for more, I wanna see it back there next week!
Nice work Witzl, that's exactly the same 1/8th mile time my celica ran at dubbo all those years ago. But seriously, that's a huge improvement over over the last time we were both out at the creek, go the tractor motor!
And damn nice work Josh! I would have loved to have seen that, hopefully someone has some footage. How are the launches going, get any wheelspin at all?

Well, I had a less than impressive showing tonight, with a best of 13.3 @ 111mph (first run). On the 2nd run my clutch decided to shit itself, leading to a 14.6, a 14.7 and a 14.8 on the next 3 runs. Dialled down the boost to 15psi and managed another 13.3 on the last run of the night, this time at 106mph. Ah well, now I have something to do on the weekend

Thanks also to Jason and Johnny, the resident WSID jesters, for the many lipstick and handbag references

Jeez Matt, & I was waiting to hear stories of destroyed diffs! What the hell happened with the clutch, just major slippage?

Yep, at 17psi slippage in every gear, tried to do a brake burnout at the stage and all I got was lots of revving and no wheelspin, got a video of it, quite amusing. At 15psi on the last run it only slipped at the top of 3rd and all through 4th, hence the slight improvement. I'll still be ready for next week though, have no fear!

    It was a good night.

I did a 12.4 at 110mph with a 1.82 second sixty foot first run which was nice. It got really lose at the top of third though and I was a pussy through there and in fourth. Then second run I just drove like a retard and had it fall off bost on every shift after bogging the launch.

If I learn how to drive the thing I don't see any good reason that it can't get into the 11's with some more traction.

As to power when it was on the dyno before the nationals it make ~250rwkw at 19psi.

There was another white AW11 out there running a turbo 20V that ran 11.86 which was awesome to see. Apparently it's making around the same power as mine but the owner has been racing it for quite some time and drives it a hell of a lot more consistently than I manage. Plus he has about an 80Kg advantage in driver weight

yeah the owner of that 20V turbo AW11 is teeny weeny! But he does drive the thing pretty well, and is pretty humble/quiet when it comes to his engine and setup.
I had a good chat with him last year sometime... back then he was running low 12's and he was a bit miffed he couldn't nab an 11 - i guess he'd be happier now

Here's the engine bay of that AW11 from last year too

your time is 0.82 quicker than my time but only 1.18mph faster

and my car weighs close to 150kg heavier, imagine if i got a decent launch

    Edit: and that was with my old motor {same head, std 8.7:1 bottom end}
