Is it an invite thing for car clubs?
Should we get a TCCA(V) group going also?
Hi folks
If any one is looking for something to do on Sunday that involves a bit of a drive you might be interested in this... I am attending with some VW guys.
Basically it sounds like a mini Hanging Rock, held in Marong at the sports ground, which is just outside of Bendigo.. the Federation of Vintage, Veteran and Classic Vehicles Clubs holds a number of picnics through the year, where all their clubs can drive to and show off their pride and joy.
The VW guys are heading off at 7.30am from the Calder outbound BP.. meeting up with our Bendigo counterparts, and then cruising into the picnic.
Apparently they get 500 cars up there so might be worth a Sunday drive if you are feeling that way inclined.

I would imagine the invitees are the clubs that are members of the Federation... which TCCAV isn't.
I tried to find information on the day but turned up with very little.
That said I am sure they wouldn't turn away a collection of Toyota's that turned up together.
Turns out the Federation does 4 picnics a year.. .one on Australia Day, one in Pakenham, this one in Marong and another one else where that I forget. Nice mix of cars... including a few Toyotas. Well Crowns actually.. all Crowns...I reckon we should put one of these on the social calendar next year.. maybe this one since its 6 months or so after Hanging Rock. It was a good Sunday drive home too, as I avoided the freeway, and had a great pie at Malmsbury!
Here are some Toyota and Japanesey pics....
And one of my car to finish it off
Lots more of the vw's... some mini's for Slim... and some aussie and american muscle here:

That MS45 looks sweet as!
Yeah it was very nice..very straight, lots of hot rod stickers on the windows. I tried a few times to find the owner but no such luck.
Really should have had the TCCA business cards with me, but never thought to take them.
that looks like it could be good
are they having another run before Christmas
