    www.toyodiy.com

    xA70 is 33584-14020,

At about $33 from Toyota prbly just easiest to get from them. I'm not aware of aftermarket ones personally, but ringing a few Gbox rebuilders would be where I'd start if I was going looking...

Or go to your local Auto Parts guy n buy a bloody big sheet of gasket paper $8

Using a sheet of text book paper make a template and transfer that onto the gasket paper !

Buy a set of hole punches from Crazy Clarks / Makro / The warehouse $9.95

Make 30 copies and then sell them

no way in hell I'd use gasket sheet instead of the formed rubber gasket toyota makes for the shifter housing with the provisions for the crush tubes etc. It's required to keep the shift lever pivot at the correct height.

When I did mine in the old car I was able to replace it by just unbolting the gearbox crossmember, exhaust and cooler pipes. When the trans dropped down I was able to get at all the bolts through the shifter hole with a swivel joint on a 3/8 extension.

Without sounding like a smart ass (lol) what psi does a gearbox put out ?

    1/10th?

The gasket sits there to form a leak proof barrier - Nothing more...

I'd go minimally speaking $8 (no hole punches, use nail scissors) n if it works (it will btw ) woo hoo

If not, track me down n smack the back of my head !

Scoobzd, Have you ever seen the arrangement in real life?

As JP mentioned, are you aware if the little "crush tubes" / spacers that sit inside the gasket?

Okies - Crush tubes "crush" to a certain point to STOP the neoprene gasket
from being CRUSHED too far n expanding n leaking...

    So what?

Its not an LCA bush or a 5 point rear on a 22.

    It's a "gasket" - Again, simple as

And NO, never seen one in real life BUT its still just a gasket

    Let the flaming begin !
