Of course, I knew that H2O is water!
The problem I had was the fact there are 2 sensors for water temp, and I needed to know which was involved with the ECU that was reffered to in the Code 22, I was worried that the "at THW" could have meant there was yet another sensor elsewhere on the motor, just needed to be clear, as nonone before had defined the THW acronym, we are still a bit unclear as to what it stands for.

Ahh ok, well this could have been resolved by tracing the water temp wires from the ecu to the sensors with a multimeter.
All toyotas ive worked on have only one water temp sensor for the ecu and one water temp sensor for the cold start injector / side of things.
The only other water sensor is for the gauge which has nothing to do with the ECU.

This is solved, Justin from Amayama hooked me up with a genuine part from him in Japan, for less than half the cost - including postage - for an aftermarket part here in Australia. All good as gold.
