Boost leak/post AFM air leak is my bet![]()
Im having some strange issues with my 1ggte. it starts and idles perfectly fine, I can drive it out of boost easily but the moment I try to get on boost the car feels sluggish,like its being held back. The boost still rises but the car is slower than it should be and it misses slightly when on boost.
The other thing is that the check engine light comes on after trying to get on boost for the first time and im unable to do a diagnostic, when I jump/short the pins in the diagnostic block nothing happens. I think it may be:
1 - timing (checked and set to 10 degrees)
2 - boost leak (doing a boost leak test tomorrow but all clamps are tight)
3 - spark/worn out ignition components (will these only be affected under boost?)
4 - fuel (afr's good,fuel pressure checked and set to 40psi)
When driving/boosting I can hear the turbos spool up and the boost rises but the car doesn't really go anywhere
Help me out if you can!

Hey pal,i had a similar issue for me it turned out to be ignitor coilpack prob.
Can you check any codes/what vehicle is this in?

the strange thing is I can't check for codes, when I try to do a diagnostic nothing happensthe check engine light doesn't flash. my neighbour who's mechanic suggested the distributor cap and rotor might be worn out causing a weak spark,does this sound right?. The 1ggte is in a GA70 supra.
globe could of been taken out of the CEL does it light up when you have it on acc?

Yes the CEL lights up then goes off as per usual when you start the engine but after driving for about 20 seconds the CEL comes on and stays on but i cannot do a diagnostic.
what pins are you crossing?.. sure your crossing the right ones?
Boost leak test tomorrow, yip I am crossing the right pins.
